Flashlight beam on a spotlessly clean surface

When Your Client Shows Up With a Flashlight (True Story)

Today was a move-in clean, and I put our Shooting Star Multi-Surface Cleaner through its spaces — floors, windows, cabinets inside and out, counters, sinks, toilets, the fridge, the freezer. Every surface. By the time I was done, the place was spotless.

Then came the plot twist.

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a flickering light. The homeowner had walked back in — flashlight in hand — slowly scanning the blinds and baseboards like he was on a CSI episode.

I looked at him and said, "Holy sh**, we got Inspector Gadget here."

He burst out laughing. So I kept going: "If I knew you were gonna inspect everything with a flashlight, I would've brought the white gloves too."

He laughed so hard he dropped the flashlight. It went dark for a second. Honestly? I wasn't even offended — I thought it was hilarious. Because when you truly take pride in your work, you don't mind someone checking. In fact, it made for a pretty perfect ending to the day.

The flashlight didn't find a thing.
